I have long held a vision of making my own clothes, creating a customized wardrobe expressive of my personal style. In 2011, I made my first real attempt at constructing a garment, a tunic blouse. Unfortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful. After a few subsequent false starts over the years, I put sewing on the backburner.

Now, years later, I have restarted my sewing journey. Step by step, I want to learn how to make my favorite wardrobe staples. The process of choosing a pattern, picking out the fabric, gathering the notions, and fashioning the materials into a wearable garment excites me. Wearable is the goal. We shall see what happens!
